Worked with artist Valerie Otani to implement Hillsboro’s Public Art Master Plan which we developed in 2008. Specific tasks included writing a public art ordinance, developing incentives for public art in private development, and researching and drafting the foundation for a long-term arts and culture fund. Worked with artist Valerie Otani to develop a Beaverton Public Art Master Plan. The Plan includes an assessment of the existing public art program, recommendations for future program development, and a map of key site opportunities. (2009)

Portland, Oregon. Served as cultural planner with the Central City Plan Steering Committee and identified strategies to support local artists and arts organizations with downtown development. Provided research, organization and management toward: increasing Portland’s public percent-for-art ordinance; developing a private percent-for-art bonus program; boosting arts visibility; drafting arts and economic development policies; clarifying the vision and programs of the Metropolitan Arts Commission; and developed preliminary research and reports for Arts Plan 2000, a regional arts plan. Stanford Research Institute, International, and the Governor’s Commission on Higher Education for the Portland Metropolitan Area

Organized a focus group on arts and culture and developed a corresponding issue paper. (1990)

Lincoln City, Oregon. Served as the cultural planner on a design team which developed a master action plan for the visual and cultural revital¬ization of Lincoln City, a coastal community plagued with problems associated with strip development. (1988-89)
